【Item Description】

A new colorway, "Umber," has arrived for the folding fan made with Dyneema® Composite Fabric.

This product was born out of a designer's frustration — someone who keeps a folding fan on hand every summer, but grew dissatisfied with the fragility of the paper commonly used in traditional fans.

Paper fans are thin and compact, but require care to avoid water damage or tearing. Fans made from nylon or similar fabrics, on the other hand, tend to be thicker, and their pleats gradually lose their crispness over repeated folding — eventually reaching a point where they can no longer fold properly at all.

By using Dyneema® Composite Fabric, this fan resolves both drawbacks, resulting in a design built to hold up across a wide range of environments for years of use.

[Material]

Commonly known as Cuben Fiber, it is made of ultra-light yet extremely strong polyethylene fiber, and on a weight basis, it is 15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than aramid fiber.

It has excellent durability against water, UV rays, and chemicals, and is made of a special material that is also used in bulletproof vests.
