「Air Circulation System Rain Jacket」

株式会社空調服とのコラボレーションレインジャケット。

工事現場や溶接作業などで使用されることが多く、街中で見かけることも増えた電動ファン付きウェア。
暑い時に更に洋服を着るという行為が面白く、新鮮に感じました。

Wear with an electric fan is often used at construction sites and welding work, and is increasingly seen on the streets.
The act of wearing even more clothing in hot weather was interesting and fresh.







この機能はいろいろなシーンに応用できると思い、meanswhileとして作るならどんなものが最適かを考えました。

暑い時期でも長袖の洋服を着なければいけないシチュエーションを想定した時に、雨から身を守るためのレインウェアを連想しました。

I thought that this function could be applied to various situations, and I thought about what would be best for meanswhile to create.

When I envisioned situations in which people must wear long-sleeved clothes even in hot weather, I thought of rainwear to protect themselves from the rain.





ただ、ファン部分から外気を吸い込む機能が雨とは相性が悪く、市場でもレインウェアと空調服の機能を両立させている製品はあまり投入されていないのが実情でした。

ファンに雨避けカバーを付けるだけでも機能としては成り立つが、取って付けた様なディティールは日常には馴染まない。

この部分をデザインの力で解決し、ファッションとしての要素と機能を融合できると考え設計を進めました。

However, the function of the fan to draw in outside air is not compatible with rain, and there have not been many products on the market that combine the functions of both rainwear and air-conditioned clothing.

Simply attaching a rain cover to a fan is a functional solution, but the details that seem to have been added to the fan do not fit in with everyday life.

We thought we could solve this problem through the power of design, and combine fashionable elements with functionality.



ファンカバー部分は内蔵のナイロンテープを引くことでたくし上げられる様になっており、電動ファンの性能を最大限に高めることが可能となります。

The fan cover can be raised by pulling the built-in nylon tape to maximize the performance of the electric fan.
